The Awakening path and the teachings

system of thought that points to a fundamental intrinsic oneness of mind—an
experience of pure Awareness without separation.
If the goal of Awakening is for an
experience of pure awareness or oneness, then the world of form seen as
separate objects must be an expression of duality. Anything that reinforces
this will cover over the oneness that you are. David Hoffmeister, one of the
most consistent and clearest contemporary teachers of non-dualism has been
saying for a quarter of a century that the world is a “distractive device” for
the mind. A life busy manipulating the world while trying to discover who you
are, will not work. But there is something inside of you that intuitively knows
